David Bissett (Phylostachys Bissettii)

David Bissett is one ofthe best smaller sized screening bamboo varieties. Here is a picture of a very dense grove above a retaining wall. About 20 feet behind this wall is a road. Since bamboo is evergreen it provides total privacy at all times during the year.

Another view of the DB from another part of the wall. Bamboo can be effectively integrated into your landscaping. I installed a root barrier between the grove and the flower bed. I like how the dark green wall of bamboo contrasts with red mulch and flowering shrubs.
